Condolence: Mr.Mair is my favorite radio personality of all time for a number of important reasons, both societal and personal.
I will miss Rafe's courageously honest and dignified voice of reason in the wilderness of soundbite journalism. Wherever you are Sir, I know you will hold everyone in charge to account and speak truth to power for all those without a voice.

Condolence From: Harry Atkinson
Condolence: I first met Rafe when he was appointed Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs. A constituent had complained about the Debtor Assistance Program. I was the Director. In Rafe fashion he came to my office sat down, glowered at me and said "what the ---- does your program do; explain this complaint"? He then proceeded with in depth questioning. Before he left he knew the program was competent - and I knew we had a knowledgeable, hard working Minister who honestly cared about his constituents, BC debtors and the taxpayer.

Condolence: I was in my early 20’s when I started listening to Rafe Mair on the radio at work. The guys in the parts dept. always had CKNW on. Being that young I didn’t really care about politics, the environment & BC/world events etc, but listening to Rafe’s passion & knowledge was addictive. I’m 51 now and still listen to CNKW and always miss hearing his voice. Sorry for your families loss but know he was a true inspiration to a lot of people.

Condolence: Thank you Rafe for your unique way of keeping me enraged and entertained at the same time. Having been a trainman on B.C. Rail for 30 years your foil was pointed at us on many occasions.
