The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sean Hanley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Irene & Tony Lyttle
Condolence: Dear Meghan,
We did not attend the service for Sean, as we felt there would be so many close friends as well as family to comfort you,but please believe our thoughts then and many, many times since have been with you, Devon, and Susanne and all the children. In a way, we were like extended family, as we knew each of you, and through Joyce shared so many ups and downs of the whole family.
We will be sending a small tribute to Sean's memory to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of B.C.
With our loving thoughts with you,
Irene & Tony Lyttle37

Condolence: Dear family and friends of Sean,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Sean. In the years that followed our graduating from high school, I hold some valued memories of spending time outdoors with Sean. He enjoyed it's hard work as well as the rewards earned like being around a camp fire among a group of friends sharing in the moments from a full day of hunting. In the years that followed Sean and I ended up connecting further with aviation. Unplanned, we found ourselves each taking our pilot’s licenses at flights schools both of which were located at Boundary Bay airport. This meant that over the weeks and months of our flight training we would periodically find ourselves aloft while we carried out our solo training exercises. I distinctly recall a part of Sean that I had not previously experienced: his professionalism. Aviation demands distinct preparation and technical knowledge and each time when we found our selves flying in the same area I could hear Sean carry out required communication with the local air traffic control or other aircraft, and Sean left me inspired with his professional approach. His enjoying of the discipline and exhilaration of flight was well apparent.
On hearing of the loss of Sean, I can only try and imagine some of the pain for family and friends. These memories and thoughts that come to mind for me and I hope may add to the collective memory of others who are also celebrating Sean’s life.

Condolence: Dear Hanley Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences at this time. Something that I have personally found to bring comfort and hope when dealing with the loss of a loved one are the promises found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Isaiah 25:8. These scriptures along with others show that in the very near future God is going to not only bring our loved ones back to life by means of a Resurrection but he is going to "swallow up death forever". It is my sincere hope that these promises bring your family comfort at this time. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.
