Obituary for
Michael Claude Boré
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael, a husband, father and grandfather. Michael passed away with his loving wife at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in St. Martial d’Artenset, France, growing up steps away from the Champs de Mars where he spent his boyhood running in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. After following his brothers’ footsteps into the French Military, and serving valiantly in the Algerian war, Michael immigrated to Vancouver in 1962. There he met the love of his life, Carmen, who was also from France. Throughout his life, Michael was an entrepreneur with an enviable work ethic, and an unconditional love of life, his family and friends. He also loved his time working for the iconic Woodwards, always lending a helping hand and his million dollar smile! Michael is survived by his wife Carmen, daughters Brigitte (Andrew) and Martine, grandsons James and Haydyn, along with sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all! Pa, you are walking with God!
A funeral mass in honour of Michael will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 2337 Inglewood Ave., West Vancouver at 1030 AM on Saturday, Oct. 17th, 2015. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors that supported Michael, and special thanks to the North Shore Hospice staff.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Shore Hospice Society or the BC Cancer Agency.
